DP Gachagua meets Tana River leaders at his Karen residence over El Nino
Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has met with leaders from Tana River county at his Karen residence to discuss the El Nino situation in the county.
The latest comes days after the DP visited the county to assess the situation and provided humanitarian support including food, mosquito nets and medicine.
In a statement, Gachagua assured Kenyans that the government was firming up more immediate action and working towards restoring normalcy and lasting solutions.
“This morning at the Official Residence in Karen, I held a follow-up meeting with Tana River leaders to discuss the El Nino situation in the County and the Government’s intervention.
“The meeting is furtherance to my Monday visit where, together with the leadership and our partners, we assessed the situation and provided humanitarian support, including food, mosquito nets and medicine, which the Government continues to supply,” the DP stated.
Leaders present during the meeting were Senator Danson Mungatana, Woman Representative Amina Dika, MPs Ali Wario Guyo (Garsen), Hiribae Buya (Galole) and Yakub Dubow Kuno of Bura.
Consultative leadership is the modus operandi of the Ruto Administration.
