Director P: I want piece of the local music market pie

By , July 29, 2021

Canada-based Zambian music director and artiste Patrick LuaLua aka Director P has set his eyes on the Kenyan music market.

He says there is a growing market in the western world, with the East African music scene the latest to hit the global stage.

“So far, I have directed a number of music videos for Kenyan artistes and their talents is unmatched yet has remained untapped.

That’s why we are seeing the likes of Diamond Platnumz getting all the attention in the US and all over the world,” he told Spice, adding that his work on singer Shy Musiq was an eye opener to the potential the county has when it comes to talents.

“As an artiste, I also like the whole vibe the likes of Nandy, Khaligraph Jones and Sauti Sol bring to the table.

I would also like to work with some of the Kenyan producers because I believe in my versatility,” said the artiste whose base is in Toronto.
