Dubai jobs
Kenyan youths are expected to turn out in large numbers to try their luck in the Dubai jobs that were announced by Labour and Social Protection Cabinet Secretary Alfred Mutua.
CS Mutua in a statement shared via his official social media accounts on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, announced 10,000 job opportunities in the construction sector in Dubai.
He stated that the recruitment process would kick off on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at the Kabete National Polytechnic.
“The construction sector in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, is seeking 10,000+ skilled and unskilled Kenyans to join its workforce,” Mutua stated.

Mutua in a subsequent post announced another 1,000 drivers job opportunities in Saudi Arabia whose recruitment exercise is also set to kick off on Wednesday, December 18, at the Kabete National Polytechnic.
“A reputable Saudi company is urgently seeking drivers to work in Saudi Arabia. Interviews will begin tomorrow at Langata National Polytechnic and will also take place in Nyeri and Mombasa,” Mutua stated.

FKF Premier League
There will be Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Premier League action following the rescheduling of some fixtures.
FC Talanta will be facing off with Kenya Police FC at Machakos Stadium in an early kick off scheduled for 1:00 pm.
Gor Mahia FC will then play Ulinzi Stars in a 4:00 pm kick off at the Machakos Stadium.

Graft cases in court
Among the graft cases scheduled for hearings and mentions in court this week, there will be a hearing of a case involving Robert Theuri Murage and Doris Nafula Simiyu.
According to the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC), the case involves a suit for recovery of a total of Ksh39.2 million in respect of public funds embezzled and irregularly paid from the National Treasury and Planning into the defendants’ accounts in the guise of allowances for purported official duties.
The case will be heard at the Milimani Anti-Corruption Court this Wednesday, December 18, 2024.
