COVID-19: Kenya reports 14 new cases as three recover

Kenya has recorded 14 new cases of coronavirus, Heath Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe announced on Tuesday.
This brings the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country to 172.
Of the 14 new cases, 12 are Kenyans while the rest are foreigners.
The CS also announced that three people, who have been undergoing treatment for the virus, have turned negative.
“The 14 have been moved to isolation facilities and contact tracing has begun,” the CS said.
The new cases are from Nairobi (7), Mombasa (1), Mandera (2), Kisii (1) and Machakos (1).
“Let us brace ourselves for bad news. The mortality rate has been very low and this does not mean we relax,” CS Kagwe said.
The ministry has also directed all health workers and other staff working in hospital and quarantine facilities to be tested with immediate effect.
The CS further ordered all golf clubs and golf houses to be closed.
