COVID-19 cases in Kenya pass 1000 mark

Kenya has confirmed 66 new cases of coronavirus, Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe announced on Wednesday.

This brings the total number of cases in the country to 1029.

Sixty four of the cases are Kenyans while two are foreigners.

Thirty of the cases are from Mombasa, Nairobi (26), Kajiado (3) and the rest are distributed across other counties that the CS did not mention.

The government has further extended cessation of movement into and out of Eastleigh in Nairobi and Old Town in Mombasa until June 6.
