Police in Subukia, Nakuru, have launched a manhunt for a middle-aged woman who allegedly killed her husband yesterday afternoon after accusing him of failing to satisfy her in bed.
The suspect, whose name has not been made public, slashed Harun Mutua several times using a panga while he was burning charcoal in Kavilla village of Waseges area.
Residents said they heard cries for help and when they arrived at the scene, the suspect was lamenting that her husband had the audacity of sleeping with other women yet he could not provide for her.
Area Chief Patrick Njuge said the woman escaped, and police are investigating the matter.
Meanwhile, police in the same area have arrested a man aged 25, who allegedly defiled and killed a Form One student before dumping her body in a maize plantation in Munanda area.
Nakuru police commander Stephen Matu said the 14-year-old student at Sidai Secondary School was kidnapped as she walked home on Monday evening. Residents only identified the suspect as Samuel.
