Chief beat me up, cut off ears of my dog – Nyandarua man

Family of Muiruri Kimani from Kipipiri Nyandarua County is crying for justice after the area chief allegedly gave his family a thorough beating.

In the dramatic arrest, the administrator also cut off the ears of the family dog, according to Muiruri.

The area chief Mary Wangari was conducting an operation to send 2019 Kenya Certificate of Primary School(KCPE) candidates to secondary schools. Muiruri’s son had not reported to high school.

When the chief visited Muiruri’s home, the family dog attacked the chief and her police officers.

The chief blamed Muiruri’s wife and his son for the dog attack.

After the attack, Muiruri says the chief ordered him to chase the dog and upon its capture, the administrator cut off both its ears.

The dog is missing ever since, says Muiruri.

“During the arrest, the police gave me severe blows and forced into their vehicle with a kick. Madam Chief later ordered me to capture the dog and present it to them which I also did,” said Muiruri.

“They told my son to restrain the dog after which they beat it up and told my son to instruct the dog to bite him(son) but the dog refused,” recounted Muiruri.

The police have locked Mururi’s wife in cell.
