Caroli down plays Raila act to endorse Mbadi in Suba

By , March 5, 2024

Suba South MP Caroli Omondi was yesterday unmoved by decision of Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Party leader Raila Odinga to endorse nominated MP John Mbadi to recapture the seat from him.

Caroli who gave Raila’s meeting in his constituency a wide berth and instead joined Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro and his Bondo counterpart Gideon Ochanda for a fundraiser in Bondo said Raila’s backing of Mbadi to replace him is inconsequential.

“I am not bothered by Raila’s endorsement of Mbadi to unseat me in the forthcoming election. My record of development will be the yardstick of my reelection, “ said Caroli.

Raila who has termed Caroli and other lawmakers from Nyanza region as rebels within his party camped in Suba South in a bid to undo gains made by them following their decision to work closely with the Kenya Kwanza administration.
