Car bomb kills two, injures over 10 in Somalia’s capital Mogadishu

 At least two people were killed and more than ten others injured after a massive car bomb exploded at a busy checkpoint in Somalia’s capital Mogadishu on Wednesday, witnesses said. 

The witnesses said the attacker drove a car laden with explosives into the Sayidka junction, a checkpoint as vehicles lined up for security search during rush hour. 

The checkpoint is between security ministry headquarters and Lower House building in Sayidka area. 

Efforts are underway to rescue the victims, mostly commuters who were going to their places of work.  (Xinhua)
