Bungoma reshuffles its executive members
Bungoma governor Kenneth Lusaka yesterday reshuffled some executive members in a move he said is aimed at enhancing service delivery leading to economic growth.
Speaking at his Mapera home, Lusaka said he worked well with his administration but he had been persuaded to do changes for better service delivery.
“It is necessary and prudent to make a few changes in the composition of the executive branch. The intention is to re-align programme implementation that leads to accelerated outcomes across various sectors,” he said.
Lusaka said the changes had also been part of reorganisation occasioned by end tenure of some chief officers.
‘’For those exiting my government I want to thank them for selfless service to Bungoma people,’’ said Lusaka.
The county boss transferred Andrew Wamalwa as executive member Health and sanitation to water, natural resources, tourism and climate change.
Forwarded names
His position was taken up by Carolyne Khalayi who was moved from trade, energy and industrialisation and her place taken over by David Wamamili from education and vocational training.
Others are Herbert Kibunguch from water to agriculture, Monicah Fedha from agriculture to gender, culture and sports while Agnes Wachiye from gender to public administration.
The former public administration CEC Benedict Emachar was moved to education.
The governor however retained Chirispinus Barasa as CEC finance and Bonventure Chengek in roads.
Lusaka also appointed six chief officers and forwarded their names to county assembly for vetting.
