Bungoma areas that will experience power interruptions on Saturday

Kenya Power on Friday night issued a notice informing customers of planned power interruptions expected in Bungoma County on Saturday, October 28, 2023.

In a statement, the utility company noted that the expected power interruptions are meant to pave the way for scheduled maintenance.

“Hello, please find the scheduled power interruption for 28th October 2023,” Kenya Power said.

According the Kenya Power, the planned electricity interruptions will affect Webuye town from 9 am to 3 pm.

The blackout will be witnessed in areas such as Webuye Law Court, Nabuyolo booster, KMT, Webuye sub-county hospital, Site and site estate and adjacent customers.

The latest comes a day after the utility company announced similar power interruptions in five counties.

The counties; Kisumu, Kiambu, Nyandarua, Nairobi, and Homa Bay were set to experience power interruptions from 9 am to 5 pm.

In a statement, the utility company noted that the planned interruptions were due to scheduled maintenance and installation of midspan poles.

In Nairobi, the power blackout was witnessed in Joska area from 9 am to 5 pm whereas the power interruption affected Kamakis and Gatong’ora areas of Kiambu county from 8.30 am to 5 pm.

Similarly, the planned electricity interruptions affected the whole of Ndemi area of Nyandarua county from 9 am to 5 pm.

In Kisumu county, the planned interruptions affected Ombeyi and Kadongo areas from 9 am to 5 pm whereas Kanyamfwa and Andhiro areas of Homa Bay county experienced blackout from 9 am to 3 pm.
