Bones, belts and clothes believed to be of the two missing Indian Information Technology (IT) experts and their driver have been found in the Aberdare Forest after a two-day search.

The foreigners are believed to have been abducted by Special Services Unit (SSU) officers on July 25.

More than 100 police officers were deployed to the Aberdare Forest to search for Mohamed Zaid Sami Kidwai, Zulfiqar Ahmad Khan and their driver, Nicodemus Mwania Mwange.

The officers took the evidence for safe custody ahead of a planned DNA sampling to establish whether they belong to the three. SSU officers linked to the disappearance and death of the three are expected to appear before the Internal Affairs Unit detectives who are handling the case.

Ten officers had appeared before the unit for grilling on Monday and Tuesday but more of their colleagues were added to the list of officers under investigation. They were ordered to present themselves for grilling today.

Those summoned include two Chief Inspectors, an inspector, three sergeants, nine corporals and five constables. Yesterday, President Ruto revisited the issue of the SSU, saying no police officers should be involved in the death or forced disappearance of suspects.

He challenged the police to ensure public safety and security and to carry out their work without killing suspects. Different phones The Indian citizens are believed to have been invited into the country to help UDA political party with election preparedness but went missing under unclear circumstances.

Meanwhile, four people have been arrested after they were linked to the mobile phone belonging to Daniel Musyoka, the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission official whose body was found dumped in Oloitoktok in August.

Musyoka was the returning officer in charge of the Embakasi South constituency. Police said the four suspects had used his phone at different phones and they had been apprehended to assist them with investigations.
