By , April 18, 2020

Bartabwa Member of County Assembly (MCA) Reuben Chepsongol spent the night in a police cell in Kabarbet following his arrest moments after Rift Valley Regional Commissioner George Natembeya held a security meeting in the area on April 17.

A former Chief, Chepsongol is accusing Baringo County Commissioner Henry Wafula and the county security team of laxity as Pokot bandits wreak havoc in the area.

He has specifically called for the removal of Mr.Wafula calling him a failure in security matters. According to him, security has worsened since Wafula was posted there last year.

Mr Chepsongol was thrown into the cell after he appeared at the station to record his statement on Friday evening. Earlier, a contingent of police officers raided his home in Baringo North. He is expected to be charged with incitement on Monday.
