Apakatwe – African Toto and Larota

When it comes to jams from the Coast, Apakatwe is one of them that have been receiving good rotation from the mainstream media.
The collaboration reintroduces us to African Toto’s former style of music Swaghili Africa Entertainment.
The jam is a hype club song that involves potential lovers, but each wants certain needs gratified first.
For instance, the woman wants money and yet the man is deeply in love with her and she is making it difficult for him.
“I was humbled to have worked with African Toto on this project. The amapiano (a style of house music) and Swahili vibe were brought out very well by Teknix of Kubwa Studios Mombasa,” Larota told Spice.
The video, directed by the brilliant Johnson Kyalo, coupled by the dance choreography, the Coast scenario and the colour, presents some eye-catching visuals. Score: 7/10
