Alfred Keter calls out Ruto over govt’s poor performance
Former Nandi Hills Member of Parliament (MP) Alfred Keter has criticised President William Ruto on the state of governance under his current administration.
In a post shared on X on Sunday, November 9, 2025, Keter compared the president to a school principal who, despite producing poor results, insists on lecturing parents rather than addressing the core problems.

“William Ruto is like a school principal who, after posting a mean score of D-, will continue to nag the parents about how they should not transfer students to other schools since he has a solid plan! Happy Sunday, Average Thinkers!” Keter wrote.
The veteran politician and commentator has been a vocal critic of President Ruto, often highlighting what he perceives as shortcomings in leadership, policy implementation, and accountability.
In this latest statement, he used a school analogy to underscore his view that the government’s performance has been unsatisfactory, while the administration continues to insist that its strategies are effective.

Keter has always expressed concerns about economic challenges, rising costs of living, and unmet campaign promises. By framing the situation in a familiar school context, Keter aimed to make a point about accountability and the consequences of poor performance, arguing that leaders must address tangible results rather than rely solely on rhetoric.
This is not the first time Keter has used vivid analogies to critique government policies. His approach seeks to engage citizens in discussions about governance and public service delivery while holding leaders to account.
Keter’s post serves as a reminder of the importance of leadership results and the need for government officials to deliver on promises made to citizens.
