Lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi has subtly chastised President William Ruto stating that he will learn the hard way through the Constitution of Kenya.
Taking to his official Twitter account, the firebrand lawyer claimed that the Constitution was the cure to corruption and impunity.

“The 2010 constitution is a most powerful antidote to impunity and unchecked executive power. It taught President Uhuru painful lessons. It will teach President William Ruto painful lessons. Respecting the dictates of the Constitution is a joyous nationalistic act,” he wrote.

The lawyer’s remarks come in the wake of a ruling that quashed Ruto’s decision to appoint 50 Chief Administrative Secretaries (CASs).
The ruling was made by a three-judge bench that said the creation of the CAS positions violated the Constitution.
“We do not think that it was the intention of the framers of the Constitution to have 50 CASs deputizing 22 CSs. For the avoidance of doubt, the appointment of the 50 CASs is unconstitutional,” the High Court ruled.
“The newly-created office and fresh complement of 50 had to comply with the constitution and the criteria set out earlier in Okiyah’s case in order to be lawfully established. They did not comply. The entire complement of 50 CASs is therefore unconstitutional.”
