Parents and students have been urged to observe due diligence when engaging agencies and companies that offer education migration services.

Speaking to People Daily in Nairobi yesterday ahead of the much-awaited education fair dubbed Grace Edu Fair, Grace International founder and MD Ram Chandra Poudel said to avoid unnecessary confrontations and ugly scenes, parents/guardians and students should ensure the companies they are dealing with are genuine.

“For instance, whenever we migrate students to Australia or anywhere else for higher education, we become like their parents. We ensure that their stay there is smooth, in a bid to give them peace of mind to enable them study without worrying,” he said.

Ram added that companies or agencies offering education migration services for students should at no time take advantage of the parent/guardian and student’s vulnerability.

“It’s the most wicked thing you can do to a person who is striving so hard to find a proper foundation for their future. Many parents go through hardships to give their children decent education. Why would one dupe them and ruin their lives?” he posed.

The Grace Edu Fair will be held at the Sarit Expo Centre in Nairobi this Saturday, where more than 30 institutions of higher learning will offer guidance and counselling to parents, guardians and students.
