AFC Leopards take hunt to Thika as FKF PL week 3 fixtures and venues are confirmed
AFC Leopards will travel to Thika Stadium this weekend, aiming to get back on track in the FKF Premier League as the competition enters its third week.
Leopards are set to face Bidco United in the late kick-off match on Saturday at 4:00 p.m.
AFC Leopards in double header
The venue will host a double-header, with the first match featuring Posta Rangers against KCB FC at 1:00 p.m.
Both matches will be broadcast by the official league broadcaster, offering fans the chance to catch the action live.
Saturday will also see Mathare United take on Sofapaka FC at 3:00 p.m. at Police Sacco Stadium. Meanwhile, Mara Sugar will host Nairobi City Stars in a 3:00 p.m. kick-off at Awendo Stadium.
On Sunday, three matches are lined up. Tusker will host Kakamega Homeboyz at 3:00 p.m. at Machakos Stadium, Kariobangi Sharks will face Murang’a Seal at Dandora Stadium, and Ulinzi Stars will go head-to-head with Shabana FC at Ulinzi Complex, also at 3:00 p.m.
Gor Mahia remain absent from the league as they continue their CAF Champions League campaign. The team has safely arrived in Cairo ahead of their second-leg clash against 12-time African champions Al Ahly SC, set for Saturday at Cairo International Stadium.
In the first leg, Gor Mahia suffered a 3-0 defeat at Nyayo Stadium. Rami Rabia opened the scoring for Al Ahly in the 4th minute, followed by a brace from Percy Tau in the 15th and 74th minutes.
Gor Mahia coach Neiva admitted that his team was outclassed by the Egyptian giants, citing stage fright as a possible reason for their struggles.
With the second leg approaching, Gor Mahia faces a tough task, needing at least a 3-0 win in Cairo to keep their hopes of advancing to the group stage alive.
