Ababu wants Cabinet Secretaries who support Raila to quit

Former Foreign Affairs Chief Administrative Secretary Ababu Namwamba yesterday asked Cabinet and Principal Secretaries drumming up support for ODM leader Raila Odinga to resign and fully engage in campaigns.

At a press conference yesterday, Namwamba accused his colleagues of using public offices and resources to campaign for Raila.

Namwamba resigned on Wednesday to take up a new role as head of international relations at William Ruto 2022 presidential secretariat.

“Is it in order to purport to be  holding a public office and continue to engage in politics,?” he posed.

CS Fred Matiang’i (Interior), Keriako Tobiko (Environment) Ukur Yatani (Treasury), James Macharia (Transport), Peter Munya (Agriculture), Joe Mucheru (ICT)  and Eugene Wamalwa (Defence) campaign for Raila.
