PSC releases list of candidates shortlisted for position of CBK chairperson
Six individuals have been shortlisted for the position of chairperson at the Central Bank of Kenya (CBK), the Public Service (PSC) has announced.
The latest follows a vacancy announcement made on May 3. Interested candidates had been invited to make applications by May 23.
According to the list released by the commission, Abdikadir Aden, John Konchellah, James Wahome, Thomas Mwadeghu, Andrew Musangi, and James Lopoyetum have qualified for the interviews which will be held at PSC offices on Wednesday, July 12, 2023.
Members of the public who wish to avail any information relating to the candidates are invited to do so through affidavits on or before July 10, 2023.
“Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed at the PSC, Commission House, Harambee Avenue, Nairobi on the date and time indicated. Candidates should be at the venue at least 15 minutes before the starting time,” PSC said.
“Members of the public are invited to avail any credible information of interest relating to any of the shortlisted candidates (through affidavits) to the secretary/CEO Public Service Commission, 4th floor Commission House, Harambee Avenue or online through [email protected],” the commission added.

The successful candidate will take over from Mohamed Nyaoga who has completed his term.
Nyaoga served under former President Uhuru Kenyatta’s regime following his first appointment in June 2015.
He continued to serve in the position after his term was renewed for a four-year term in June 2019.
