Kenya’s representatives to the Basketball Africa League (BAL), Nairobi City Thunder, have signed a galaxy of international professional players, led by former NBA player William Sidney Davis II, to bolster their preparations for the prestigious continental title.

Thunder, the first Kenya Basketball Federation (KBF) professional club, recently triumphed in the KBF Premier League playoff final against Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) with victories of 73-70, 59-50, and 86-48. This success qualified them for the BAL qualifiers, scheduled to begin the week of October 20.

The club confirmed the signing of former NBA G-League player Davis II, known as “Will,” who stands at 6’8” and brings ten years of professional experience.

He joins Thunder from the Venezuelan club Spartans Distrito Capital and has previously played for top clubs in Greece, Romania, and Cyprus.

During the signing ceremony, Will expressed his excitement, stating, “I’m from Sacramento, California, and this is my 10th year as a pro. I look forward to winning games with the Thunder.”
