After more than 24 hours since he was reported to be missing, Gatundu South Member of Parliament (MP) Moses Kuria has resurfaced.

The law maker on Sunday took to his official Facebook page to announce his comeback. He said he was safe and he went underground to avoid a police arrest.

Mr. Kuria said that police were trailing behind him after visiting Kariobangi residents whose houses were demolished by the State machinery.

“As I left Homeland inn I was followed by 3 vehicles and had to use all sorts of deviations and tactics to dodge them. The objective was clearly to arrest me and hold me throughout the weekend or even worse to detain me in a quarantine facility,” wrote Mr. Kuria.

The Kariobangi Meeting

On Friday, Moses Kuria and MPs Ndindi Nyoro(Kiharu) and Maina Njoka(Kariobangi North) went to the Kariobangi Sewage area to visit residents whose houses were demolished by the State, narrated Mr. Kuria.

Videos of the lawmakers later emerged online. They were faulting the government for demolishing houses leaving residents exposed to adverse weather and hunger amid covid-19 pandemic.

After the Kariobangi meeting, the lawmakers retreated to Homeland inn along Thika Road for a meeting. At the meeting, Mr. Kuria received intel report that a senior government official was looking for him.

Seeing that he had be used before as a ‘guinea pig’, Mr. Kuria dodged the arrest by going underground, he narrated.

Now, the controversial MP says if Kenya was to offer one of its citizens for Covid-19 vaccine test, the State would not hesitate to offer him as a guinea pig.

“I am very sure if the United Nations demand that a Kenyan be offered to test the Corona Virus vaccine, the Kenya government will offer Moses Kuria as the guinea pig to test the vaccine,” said Kuria

No sooner had he posted his comeback message than his social media followers began welcoming him.

Facebook user Karee Ka Mucheru wrote; “U had given us sleepless night if your are safe, good (sic)”.

In less than an hour, the post had garnered 6,000 likes and close to 3,000 comments.

Kuria’s Tangatanga colleague Ndindi Nyoro had not yet spoken about the comeback by the time of preparing this report.
