Moreno’s gift comes days after Pastor Joseph Mukolwe shared a story that he had adopted Omuse who was homeless. According to the pastor, Omuse was picked on the streets 12- years ago and put in a children’s home and later enrolled at Sikata RC Primary School.

Interactions with the boy led to the discovery of his football talent and that is how he ended up at St Antony.

The once-disadvantaged boy went on to captain his team, St Anthony to claim the national title this year.

Omuse thanks Moreno

Omuse in his video thanked Moreno for the boots and also revealed his dream to play in Europe. He said by playing in Europe he could come back and help other disadvantaged kids.

” I Omuse, the one you sent boots, I want to appreciate for that (the boots). I want you to know about my history, that am a total orphan, when I was in the streets I found a guardian called Pastor Mukolwe. He took me to school and now am doing well.

“Concerning you, I pray to God to bless you and to continue keeping you alive. I would like to thank the school for its support, they have really helped me develop my talent.

“My dream is to play abroad in England or Spain so that I can come back and help orphans like me who are in the streets,” he added.
