Unknown persons on Sunday Night broke into Mohamed Ali NGCDF offices in Nyali and disappeared with an unknown property.

By Monday morning, detectives had arrived at the scene to review CCTV camera footage to establish how the incident happened.

From the CCTV footage, one man entered the compound by jumping over the fence in the library section at 11.44 pm before entering the main building.

Detectives had a long time reviewing the cameras at the MP’s office yesterday, where several people were seen in the compound.

The man was seen loitering in the CDF office, moving from one office to another. He broke in by breaking the door grills. It is unclear where the police officers who man the facility were during the raid.

“We have two officers who man this facility again. This facility has a deputy county commissioner inside. We are asking how they came in and where the police were,” Ali questioned.

The man is seen searching for something, which according to the MP claim, was some documents detailing the transfer of port service to Naivasha.

The man is then seen stealing a TV set and some documents from the CDF office and later breaking the door to exit.

He is later seen leaving the compound holding a TV set after breaking a door at around 12: 03 am while another one was waiting at the exit.

It is unclear what the documents contained, but the MP says they are important documents.

“This attack comes a day after the Tononoka rally where we unleashed port documents showing how one family is benefiting from the port activities, so we believe this is a planned motive,” Ali claimed.

Speaking to journalists, Ali claimed the men were allegedly targeting his office because he raised a case at the transfer of port service to Naivasha.

Ali said his life is in danger and now wants enough security. Two police officers staff Ali’s office at night and two during the day.

“If anything happens to me, know it’s because of my political stand. I feel unprotected. If they don’t give me the security, I will protect myself,” Ali said.

Yesterday UDA brigade castigated the local administration for laxity and now believes that the move was planned in search of some documents.

The UDA has been taking on the government for what it termed as taking away port services to Naivasha as the region suffers economic turmoil.

“We know this is a deliberate effort to intimidate Ali for his tough stand about port affairs, we know it’s a planned event to cause panic, and this must stop,” claimed Hassan Omar.

Omar said he would pay pending bills owed in the county in the first 100 days in the office. He said the county would employ professional progression to give workers morale.

Mombasa senator aspirant, His Mwaguya, believes that UDA is being targeted for championing the return of port activities to Mombasa.

“We will not succumb to intimidation. We are determined to bring the wave of change. A revolution is coming, and we must bring change in Mombasa,” said Mwaguya.
