Weeks after taking over as the Cabinet Secretary for the National Treasury and Economic Planning, John Mbadi is now set to steer the budget preparation process for the 2025/2026 financial year.
Mbadiwill be launching the process today at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) in Nairobi in an event that is expected to be graced by MP Ndindi Nyoro who is the chairman of the Budget and Appropriations Committee, and Chris Kiptoo, the Principal Secretary of the National Treasury.

His position on the wheel of the budget-making process comes against the backdrop of heightened social-economic challenges including mounting expenditure, pressure to pay debts, sluggish creation of jobs for desperate youth
