Meru Senator Mithika Linturi’s estranged wife Marianne Kitany has denied luring him to Supa Lodge in Naivasha when the impeachment motion he had tabled against the then Devolution Cabinet Secretary Anne Waiguru in 2014 flopped.

Kitany told the court on Wednesday that they became friends with Linturi and in the process of discussing the impeachment motion, they became intimate and went to Naivasha as two willing adults.

“I did not not lure him. It was a willing buyer, willing seller,” she told the court.

Kitany, who was being re-examined by her lawyer Danstan Omari, also confirmed to have gone to the said hotel, severally after that.

The former Chief of Staff at the Deputy President’s office also insisted that the senator defrauded her and her relatives when he took documents from the house and forged their signatures.

The case has been postponed to September 24 and the media has been barred from live streaming the divorce proceedings.
