Kabeberi 7s Division II pools have been confirmed ahead of the matches scheduled for Impala Club on Saturday and Sunday
Homeboyz, who were recently relegated from the top tier in the Tisap 7s, have claimed the top seed position in the second division competition at the upcoming Kabeberi 7s tournament.
Kabeberi 7s Pool A
They will be headlining Pool A, a group that also includes Northern Suburbs, Zetech Oaks, and Masaku.
The University of Eldoret Trojans, who currently lead Division Two, are seeded second and will be competing in Pool B. Their rivals in this group are Molo, Makueni, and the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology Cougars.
In Pool C, the United States International University Martials, champions of the second division competition in Eldoret, will face off against Ngong, Embu, and KCA Sparxx.
Pool D features Meru, Mount Kenya University Nairobi, Technical University of Mombasa Marines, and K.C.A.A Stormers.
The teams rounding off Pool E include the Administration Police Warriors, Stallions, Nanyuki Jackals, and Kenya Prisons.
Standings ahead of Kabeberi 7s
At the top of the Division Two standings is the University of Eldoret, known as UOE TROJANS, with an impressive total of seventy-seven points.
They have maintained a strong performance throughout the circuit, creating a substantial gap with other teams. To claim the Division Two championship, they only need to finish in the top nine.
The Stallions are in second place with a total of sixty points, trailing the leaders by seventeen points. Administration Police is closely behind, having accumulated fifty-nine points throughout the circuit.
Former Division One participants, Zetech Oaks, have faced challenges and currently occupy fourth place with fifty-four points.
Makueni and Sigalagala share the fifth position with forty-four points each. Moi University, also known as Moi Arsonists, is not far behind, accumulating forty-one points despite missing the first two rounds of the circuit. Embu trails closely with thirty-three points, followed by MKU Thika with thirty-one points.
A competitive mid-table sees many teams with totals ranging from twenty to thirty points. This is partly due to some teams not participating in certain legs of the circuit. Kabarak University has thirty points, Meru is twelfth with twenty-eight points, and Nanyuki Jackals follow closely with twenty-five points.
NYS Spades has gathered a total of twenty-three points, while TUM Marines and USIU Martials share the fifteenth position with twenty-two points each. Homabay is next with twenty-one points, and Molo occupies seventeenth place with twenty points.
At the lower end of the Division Two standings, Kenya Prisons and Northern Suburbs are tied with eighteen points each. South Coast Pirates and Mbale are closely behind with seventeen points apiece.
MKU Nairobi has thirteen points, Western Bulls has twelve points, Siaya is in twenty-first place with eight points, and Blak Blad, new to Division Two, has five points after participating in only the first round of the circuit. They share this position with Eldoret, who also have five points. KCA University trails behind with a total of four points.
Impala and Dagoretti Bulldogs both have three points, placing them at twenty-third. PUEA and MKU Thika have two points each.
Vihiga Granites, Border Rucks, Shemberere, Kisumu Poly, Uzima, CITAM Kisumu, Kilifi, Kenya Coast Poly, Changamwe, Likoni, NITA, Stormers, JKUAT Cougars, Egerton, KSL, Ngong Warriors, Masaku, Comras, and Nandi are at the bottom of the standings with one point each.
