Junior Starlets head coach Mildred Cheche has named a squad of 35 players in preparation for the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, which will be held in the Dominican Republic from October 16 to November 3, 2024.

Junior Starlets camp

Players are expected to report to camp on Saturday, August 24, 2024, for a 17-day training session. After this initial phase, the team will head to Spain on September 10 for an extended training period, continuing their preparations until their departure for the Dominican Republic on October 1, 2024.

The team will kick off their World Cup campaign with a match against England on October 18.

They will then face Korea DPR just two days later, and wrap up their group stage fixtures on October 24 with a game against Mexico.

This tournament marks a historic milestone for the Junior Starlets, as it will be their first appearance on the global stage, making them the first Kenyan football team to compete at such a prestigious international level.
