By , June 30, 2023

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has said the Kenya Kwanza administration is open to working with interested partners to strengthen the country’s democracy.

Speaking yesterday when he held consultations with Martin Schulz, the president of Friedrich Ebert Stiftung (FES), at the DP’s official residence in Karen, Nairobi, Gachagua said Kenya was forging ahead to ensure better governance for the good of the country.

“We welcome the support of FES and other like-minded partners as we continue to strengthen our democracy. We held peaceful elections and the country remained strong during and after the elections,” said the DP.

Schulz was accompanied by German Ambassador to Kenya Sebastian Groth and FES Secretary-General Dr Sabine Fandrych and other senior officials.

FES is a non-profit foundation funded by the German government for the advancement of democracy, international cooperation and solidarity.
