Several Kiambu MCAs, Speaker ditch Jubilee for UDA

Some 30 elected members of Kiambu County Assembly, according to Deputy President William Ruto, have ditched the ruling Jubilee Party for United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party.
The MCAs, alongside the assembly speaker Stephen Ndichu were welcomed by Ruto at his Karen residence today.
After their welcoming, Ruto stated that they expressed their belief in a need for a new paradigm shift to build Kenya’s economy from the bottom.
“The Kenya Kwanza team is growing bigger each day. 30 elected MCAs from Kiambu County led by County Assembly Speaker Hon Stephen Ndichu have quit Jubilee and joined UDA. They believe that there should be a new paradigm shift to build our economy from the bottom. Karibuni Hustler Nation!,” he posted on his Facebook page.
After the small event, Ruto flew to Meru where he is expected to make various political stopovers.
Ruto will first visit Maua town in Igembe South Constituency, Kianjai Market in Tigania West Constituency and Tuskys Area in Imenti North Constituency.
He will later be at Nkubu Market in Imenti South Constituency before heading to Giampampo Primary School in Mitheru, Maara Constituency.
In the evening, the DP will tour Chuka General Hospital in Chuka Igambang’ombe Constituency before attending a major rally at Kibugua Stadium.
