Ruto thrills congregation as he sings ‘Tuingee na Wewe’ at AIC Ziwani

President William Ruto joined worshippers at the African Inland Church (AIC) Ziwani in Nairobi to celebrate the church’s 70th anniversary, a milestone marking seven decades of faith, service, and community impact.

The President arrived for the Sunday, October 12, 2025, service, accompanied by a host of leaders, including Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja, Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen, Interior Principal Secretary Raymond Omollo, MPs Felix Odiwuor from Lang’ata, Kamket from Baringo, and Makadara MP George Aladwa, as well as 47 MCAs and other government officials.

The church, one of the oldest AIC congregations in Nairobi, was filled with excitement and song as the Head of State joined the faithful in worship. The highlight of the day came when President Ruto stood to sing his favourite gospel song, “Tuingee na Wewe”, a moment that electrified the congregation.

The crowd broke into cheers and claps as the president sang along with the choir, creating a warm and emotional atmosphere inside the sanctuary.
