Kiambu Governor James Nyoro has urged voters to elect development-oriented leaders in the forthcoming August polls.

Nyoro yesterday called on the electorate to make informed choices when electing leaders.

He at the same time exuded confidence that he will recapture the seat and prevailed upon locals to vote wisely for the sake of development.

Governor who will defend his seat on a Jubilee party ticket noted that his competitors had done nothing tangible in matters development and challenged them to state which magic they intend to perform in the event they ascend to power.

“My development record for the two and a half years I have been in power is self explanatory. From roads and infrastructure to health and water provision as well as education, my administration has made great strides and I beseech Kiambu voters to give me five fresh years to complete my development agendas,” he said.

He is set to face off with Senator Kimani Wamatangi, former governors Ferdinand Waititu and William Kabogo, Thika Town MP Patrick Wainaina, Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria, Mwende Gatabaki and Juliet Kimemia.
