Ngunjiri Wambugu claims Gachagua wanted to disrupt Uhuru’s Sagana 3 meeting

Nyeri Town Member of Parliament (MP) Ngunjiri Wambugu has termed as lack of manners an alleged attempt by Mathira MP Rigathi Gachagua to have President Uhuru Kenyatta heckled by a section of Mt Kenya residents at the Sagana State Lodge on Wednesday.

Ngunjiri said the move was intended to humiliate the President in his own backyard but it backfired as the people who had been sent to jeer the president ended up showing him love.

“We are putting Mathira MP (Rigathi Gachagua) on notice. It is in the height of bad manners to incite young people to try to jeer the president,” Ngunjiri said.

He has also claimed that the planned visit by Deputy President William Ruto in Nyeri on Saturday is meant to neutralise what the President told the Mount Kenya residents.

“As far as we are concerned, it is a continuation of his mischief where he uses his allies to insult the President in the region,” he noted.

He said moving forward, they would not allow a repeat of the same adding that the President enlightened the people of Mount Kenya about the lies the DP has been peddling.
