My declaration will be like an earthquake, will change Kenya’s political scene – Mudavadi says

Days after rumours emerged that he is slowly moving out of the One Kenya Alliance, Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader Musalia Mudavadi has revealed that he will soon make a declaration that will alter Kenya’s political scene.

Speaking in Nyamira on Sunday, Mudavadi asked his supporters to be patient with him and wait for his major announcement set for January 23.

While dismissing claims that he will be joining any other political formations ahead of August General Elections, the ANC boss claimed that his declaration will take many by a surprise.

“I have heard people say I am slowly moving out of OKA, just wait. There is a major announcement that will shake the country,” Mudavadi said.

Mudavadi said that he will give the country his political direction during the ANC National Delegation Conference that is set for next week.

“We don’t want to pre-empt what we have discussed as ANC’s leadership. We will give a major declaration that will be like an earthquake to the country’s political scene,” he said.

In his address, Mudavadi also disputed claims that he missed a meeting that was organised by OKA on Friday in Naivasha due to a disagreement with his fellow principals in the coalitions.

According to him, he missed the Naivasha meeting because he was organizing the ANC Annual Delegates Conference where he will make his major announcement.

Musalia is in Nyamira in the company of other ANC leaders including Nyamira Governo Amos Nyaribo, Deputy governor James Gesami, Nairobi Senator Jonhson Sakaja among other leaders.

The former Vice President is expected to start his tour in the region where he is expected to hold a series of meeting with leaders and address his supporters.
