Jubilee vice-chairman David Murathe now claims that Deputy President William Ruto's work in the Jubilee administration was not satisfactory to President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Speaking in Thika, Murathe claimed that President Uhuru was not satisfied with Ruto's work thereby forcing him to look for ODM leader Raila Odinga's support.

According to Murathe, the President decided to work with Raila after noting that his deputy was out to sabotage his administration.

"Let you not be lied to, Ruto only brought us 1.4 million votes against Uhuru over 6 million votes. And when the government was formed we gave him half of the cabinets which he only used to milk from the government," Murathe said.

Adding: " Ruto's main aim was to make Uhuru's government fail. When he was with the government, we only managed to build five markets countrywide but when Baba (Raila) came in, we have managed to build 58 markets."

In a quick rejoinder, Ruto's spokesperson Emmanuel Talam who spoke to a local daily questioned why Murathe could not make such claims before the 2017 elections.

According to Talam, Murathe is only out to tarnish Ruto's name after he helped President Uhuru secure his re-election.

"Ruto was a saint when they wanted re-election but became bad soon after! Wajinga waliisha Kenya," he told the publication.
