Moses Kuria takes Duale head-on, warns against villifying Mt Kenya
Former Senior Advisor to President William Ruto’s Council of Economic Advisors, Moses Kuria, on Saturday, August 16, 2025, called out specific leaders, including Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale.
In a statement, Moses Kuria, who recently resigned from his role in Ruto’s government, reprimanded Duale over what he termed as targeting the entire Mt Kenya region in his utterances.
Without mincing his words, Moses Kuria maintained that he will vehemently oppose any attempts to condemn the whole Mt Kenya region.
“In the recent past, I have listened to a number of leaders allege that there is a community that thinks it’s more superior than others. From Kamket to Mandago to Aden Duale in Balambala today. Some of us have unapologetically said NO to returning this country to the politics of negative ethnicity. Equally, we will vehemently resist Wholesale condemnation and collective punishment of an entire community,” Kuria’s statement on X read in part.
Ready to pay back
The former Trade Cabinet Secretary challenged Duale and Uasin Gishu Senator Jackson Mandago to direct their political attacks to individuals instead of dragging the entire community into their rhetoric.
However, we warned of grave repercussions if the leaders extend their wholesale onslaught of the Mt Kenya region.
” If you have a problem with any individual from the Mt Kenya Community do not take it out against an entire people. If Mt Kenya people have eaten your goat Kamket, Mandago or Duale do let me know i will pay you back. Do not drive our backs against the wall. A point of no return may lead to very unintended consequences,” Kuria retorted.

Duale’s remarks
Speaking on Saturday, August 16, 2025, Health CS Duale made it clear that the days of community entitlement in the national arena are over.
Duale emphasised that with the advent of devolution and the new constitution, every community is entitled to the rightful share of the national cake.

“The days of entitlement are over that one community is more important than any other community is gone. It has gone after the new constitution and after the advance of devolution,” Duale stated.
He equally rallied the North Eastern region to throw its weight behind President William Ruto’s re-election bid.
