Morara Kebaso predicts the rise of a new opposition made up of young leaders
By Ndiritu Wanjiru, January 20, 2026Political activist Morara Kebaso has predicted the rise of a new opposition in the country, with political realignments shaping up in readiness for the 2027 elections.
In a statement on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, Kebaso stated that the country’s political landscape will be shaken by the new opposition that will be made up of young leaders.
He added that with the emergence of the new outfit that will shake the country to its foundations, tribalism will be powerless.
“A new opposition is soon rising in the East. It will be made up of young leaders. It will shake this country to its foundations. Even tribalism will be powerless. Money will be worthless,” Kebaso wrote on X.
According to the political activist, the new outfit will have both energy and purpose, and will shape Kenya’s political discourse significantly.

“It will have energy, vibe and purpose. Ngojeni muone,” he added.
Morara Kebaso’s rise to fame
Kebaso’s rise to fame was catalysed by his fierce political activism and civic education.
With the support of well-wishers, Kebaso traversed the country, exposing stalled government projects that have consumed millions.
Dubbed “Vampire Diaries”, the activist became a popular figure and a prominent voice in Kenya’s political discourse.
The rise to prominence came with challenges, as Kebaso soon found himself on the receiving end.
Opening up on his journey in civic education, the youthful activist noted that he was labelled a swindler at one point.
“When the government saw the impact of the Vampire Diaries in exposing theft of public money, they hired thousands of my fellow youth as bloggers to destroy my reputation. My weakest point of attack was the fundraising for fuel.” Kebaso stated.
“I was tortured by depression. A man who had worked hard all his life for his property was painted a conman, a beggar and a swindler. I had to leave my family WhatsApp group. I stopped going to church because I felt the world saw me as a fraud.” He added.
He recounted that the attacks took a toll on him, leaving him battling depression.

INJECT party and dalliance with the opposition
To advance his course, Kebaso registered a party named Injection of National Justice, Economic and Civic Transformation (INJECT).
He, at one point, warmed up to the united opposition and was invited to the launch of Martha Karua’s People’s Liberation Party (PLP).
