“As the new year begins, I look back at what has been an immensely difficult yet rewarding period of my life following the knee injury I sustained in December, 2024. While I was physically unable to meet many of the goals I’d set out for myself, I realised something so profound in the discomfort of being utterly helpless in the face of medical complications: There’s goodness even in the bitterest circumstances. God has a way of drawing you closer to him through trials and tribulations while strengthening you through the very process. At your lowest, you will gain clarity on the things that matter most in life and find certainty in knowing those who truly care for your well-being.”

The Nyali MP also reflected on the political betrayals and disappointments he experienced during the year saingthat he forgives all who wronged him.

“As I reflect on the past year, I wish to state that I forgive all those who wronged me and stay thankful for the lessons I learned through political betrayals and disappointments. As alliances shifted naturally due to change in political tides, I am grateful for the conviction that grounded me, which is rooted in the pursuit of justice and truth for the People I serve,” Ali wrote

Mohammed Ali went ahead to outline the mindset he carries into the new year, emphasising integrity over following the crowd.

“I care less today about where the herd is headed, for I know it in my bones that I would rather walk alone but walk righteously. That’s the spirit I bring into this year and every year, with a much stronger resolve to commit to nothing other than God and the People I Serve,” he stated
