MC Jessy ditches Kiraitu’s party for Ruto’s UDA party

Churchill Show comedian cum political aspirant Jasper Muthomi also known as MC Jessy has on Wednesday 19, 2022 ditched Kiraitu Murungi’s Devolution Empowerment Party (DEP) party, popularly known as the “Mbus” party, for Deputy President William Ruto’s United Democratic Alliance party.

Jessy, who is gunning for the South Imenti parliamentary seat in the August General Election, stated that he resorted to ditching Kiraitu’s outfit after robust deliberations with his supporters.

The funnyman exuded confidence that the tide of UDA is mounting in the region and that it is now crystal clear that it is the outfit of choice in Meru county.

“It’s now clear where the vision is heading. After many days of consultative meetings with my South Imenti people, I have officially been invited to join UDA. The groundwork that has been done has finally landed on the side of the winning team,” he posted.

Jessy, who recently graced the rebranding event of Kiraitu’s Devolution Empowerment Party, revealed that he received an exclusive call from the Deputy President asking him to join the winning team.

“When I got the call from the Chief Hustler Inviting me, I had to heed my People’s call and his call to join the winning Team.
And may the work of redefining South Imenti Now begin,” he added.

The comedian’s move has however complicated the political matrix in the parliamentary race, given that the incumbent, Murungi Kathuri, is also in the UDA camp. He will now be forced to battle for the UDA ticket with the second-term legislator.
