The United Democratic Alliance (UDA)  Secretary General Cleophas Malala has vowed to kick out indiscipline members from the party.

Mimi kama Secretary general nimeamua  displine lazima ifanyike UDA na wale wachache we shall uproot them, sababu kama wewe ndio unasabaza hate kwenye chama haiwezekani we must weed them out tubaki na chama ambacho kiko na nidhamu,”he said.

“The centre bolt of a political is discipline na mimi kama katibu mkuu naenda kuhakuikisha nidhamu imetimizwa kwa UDA,”

Accusing some members who sabotaged the Jubilee party of causing wrangling between the office of the president and the office of the deputy president, Malala vowed that as a secretary general, he would not allow the UDA party to split the same way the Jubilee party did.

Sisi hatuweezi enda  barabara ya Jubilee, wale watu waliteta vitina kati ya Rais William Ruto na Uhuru Kenyatta ndio ambao wanaleta vitina kati ya office ya President na naibu wa rais  hiyo sisi tunambinga we are not going  to entertain,” he said.

UDA Party Wrangles

This comes after some elected members of the ruling party were caught in public attractions forcing the UDA Secretary General on May 29, 2024, to issue a statement concerning the recent Indispline behaviours of some elected leaders from the UDA party.

In a press Statement, Malala said that he has been deeply concerned by the indiscipline reports of some elected members in the UDA party.

“My attention has been drawn to the fact that certain individuals continue to show blatant disrespect to the party leadership, I have been deeply concerned by reports of indiscipline amongst a section of elected leaders within our party, UDA,” Malala’s statement reads.

Shaming the indiscipline leaders, Malala went on to warn the leaders that the party would take disciplinary action against them should they fail to change their behaviour.

He further warned the cabinet secretaries caught up in the wrangles to quit politicking or resign.

"I specifically address recent public sentiments and actions of Githunguri Member of Parliament Gathoni wa Muchomba, Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi and Nyeri Governor Mutahi Kahiga."

Recently, there have been concerns about the fallout claims between Ruto and Gachangua causing a rift within the UDA party pitting the top leadership and a section of the members.
