Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has warned the critics of the Kenya Kwanza government over a looming defeat in the upcoming political contest in the 2027 elections.

Speaking in an empowerment forum in Kangame, Muranga County, on Friday, October 3, 2025, the DP expressed confidence that the incumbent administration will triumph over its rivals.

“Wakati wa siasa itakuja msituharakishe. Siku ya siasa inakuja na wale wanajiita mashujaa watakutana na fire. Hawawezani na sisi, Hao ni watu wadogo sana. Hawatuhjui vizuri, saa hii sasa wanatuongelesha kama wametoka mbinguni,”

While defending the Kenya Kwanza regime development record under President William Ruto, the DP reminded their critics that they, too, will have to render an account of their work when they were in positions of power and influence.

“Kila kiongozi atatoa record yake and kujitetea. Mi nasema tuendelee kusukuma maendeleo alafu siasa tutafanya wakaiti wake ukifika. Wale wanatupinga watatuambia wao walifanya nini wakiwa kwa kiti,”

His remarks come a month after he fired a similar salvo to the opposition brigade.

Speaking on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, Kindiki said Kenyans should not be misled by leaders who squandered their chance to serve, only to rebrand themselves as champions of the people while offering no tangible solutions.

The DP said the politics of rhetoric had no place in Kenya’s future, warning locals against falling prey to leaders whose records in government remained questionable.

“Opposition has nothing to offer. They have no roads, no schools, no hospitals, and no development to show. Let us focus on the government of the day because that is where development comes from,” Kindiki told the cheering crowd.

He reminded Kenyans that President William Ruto’s administration was working tirelessly to meet its campaign pledges, urging residents to support ongoing programs rather than embracing what he termed divisive politics.
