Kasipul MP aspirant Philip Aroko condemns youth killings, calls for political tolerance

In a post on Facebook on Thursday, November 13, 2025, Aroko described his candidature as a form of insurance for the people of Kasipul, a guarantee of steadfast leadership and protection of their interests. “Otete is the true insurance for the people of Kasipul,” he stated.
He urged the community to prioritise stability and peaceful leadership over chaos.
“In a society where our children yearn for guidance, where our teachers and professionals deserve a peaceful environment to grow and prosper, we must stand for mature, focused leadership over chaos and hullabaloo,” he said.
The aspirant emphasised the importance of defending the community’s future during the November 27, 2025, by-election.
“On the 27th of this month, we must rise together to defend our community and our future. Do not be shaken by the outsiders trooping in to decampaign Otete; their noise will not drown the voice of the people,” Aroko said.
He expressed deep concern over the loss of young lives in the area, describing the situation as shameful.
“It is shameful for one to claim to be a youth, yet stand by as fellow youths are slaughtered. We have lost too many lives at the hands of the same family, and today we see another monster in the making,” he noted.
Aroko urged residents to use their votes to protect peace and reject violence.
“This must come to an end, and it will, on November 13, 2025. Let every vote speak loudly: Otete! Otete! Otete!” he added.
The aspirant’s statement comes a week after two youths were reportedly killed in Kasipul, highlighting rising tensions in the run-up to the by-election. Aroko’s call for calm and political tolerance underscores the urgency for peaceful campaigns and community cohesion as residents prepare to cast their votes.
