Kanini Kega says Raila’s next birthday will be held in state house

Kieni Member of Parliament (MP) Kanini Kega has said that Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga will celebrate his next birthday in Statehouse once elected as president.

Kega made the remarks at the Bomas of Kenya during the former premier’s 77 birthday party.

The staunch supporter of a Raila presidency exuded confidence that the ODM party leader will beat Deputy President William Ruto in the fast-approaching August elections.

“This will be the last birthday party we shall hold at this venue, the next birthday party come next year we shall celebrate it in State house,” Kega said amid cheers from the crowd.

In his speech, Raila urged Kenyans to back him for the country’s top job, saying that if elected, his administration will transform the country economically.

He said that the focus on the general election should be about the issues affecting Kenyans.

Raila further said that Kenya needs the willpower to implement Vision 2030 which he said will transform the country economically adding the country also needed a well-travelled and experienced leader to move Kenya forward.
