Kalonzo thanks supporters after unveiling 2027 presidential campaign platform

Taking to his official account shortly after the campaign platform launch on Saturday, June 6, 2026, Kalonzo described the support as a powerful show of belief in Kenya’s future.
“Thank you to everyone who stood with me as I launched this platform. Your support and belief mean everything. Together, Tukomboe Kenya,” Kalonzo stated.
The launch marks a significant step in Kalonzo’s preparations for the 2027 General Election as political leaders across the country begin positioning themselves ahead of the highly anticipated contest.
With the slogan “Tukomboe Kenya,” Kalonzo’s campaign seeks to rally Kenyans around a platform focused on economic recovery, accountability, and inclusive development.
The campaign platform outlines Kalonzo’s vision in a thirteen-point presidential agenda, which includes ending corruption, health for all, and respect for human rights and freedom.
At the same time, the platform outlines Kalonzo’s decades-long track record of leadership, from working as a diplomat to serving as Kenya’s tenth vice president.

Kalonzo Musyoka formally launched his 2027 presidential campaign platform, signalling a major step in the opposition’s efforts to unseat President William Ruto in the next General Election.
The Saturday, June 6, 2026, launch comes amid growing momentum within opposition ranks, although leaders have yet to agree on a single presidential candidate to face Ruto. Kalonzo used the event to outline his vision for the country, positioning himself as a unifying figure capable of steering Kenya through economic and governance challenges.
His campaign rollout coincides with fresh opinion polls that place him among the leading contenders in what is shaping up to be a highly competitive race.
According to the latest Trends and Insights for Africa (TIFA) survey conducted between May 2 and May 11, 2026, President William Ruto remains the frontrunner in presidential preference ratings with 24 per cent support.
Kalonzo follows closely in second place with 19 per cent, ahead of former Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i, who garnered 14 per cent support.
