Kalonzo says he will not host joint rallies with Ukambani governors

By , March 18, 2022

Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has insisted that he is still the political kingpin of Ukambani.

Musyoka says he, therefore, will not hold joint rallies to campaign for Raila Odinga with the region’s three governors; Alfred Mutua of Machakos, Charity Ngilu of Kitui and Kivutha Kibwana of Makueni county.

The OKA principal says as Raila will be hosted by governors, he will move his campaign trail to Kisumu.

“When Mr Odinga visits Ukambani we will leave to campaign for him in Kisumu and other parts of the country and let him be hosted by the governors,” he said.

The former Vice President noted that this time, he is willing to forego the post of Deputy President as long as his community gets a third of the powerful positions in the government when Raila assumes power.
