Kalonzo reveals details of his meeting with Natembeya and Eugene Wamalwa
Wiper Patriotic Front leader Kalonzo Musyoka has opened up on the details of his meeting with Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya and Democratic Action Party of Kenya (DAP-K) party leader Eugene Wamalwa.
Taking to his official X account on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, Kalonzo shared a short video showing him in an engagement with Wamalwa and Natembeya, but muted the conversation and instead inserted the famous Luhya music “Khabusie” by Opeta Wa Musungu to play as the video background.
Unity push
However, he revealed that their engagement focused on unity.
The former vice president further praised the Luhya community as one of the great pillars of the country, citing its rich culture, strong traditions, and vibrant heritage.
“The Luhya community is one of the great pillars of our nation, known for its rich culture, strong traditions, and vibrant heritage that continue to enrich and strengthen Kenya,” Kalonzo stated.
Kalonzo went ahead to reveal that they had also discussed the unity of the Kenyan people and the future of a stronger and more united country.
“With my brothers Governor @GeorgeNatembeya and Hon. @EugeneLWamalwa, as we discuss the unity of our people and the future of a stronger and more united Kenya. Together we shall Komboa Kenya,” he stated.

Push to unseat Ruto
The meeting comes days after Natembeya joined the United Opposition on their tour of the Kisii region in Keumbu.
Speaking during the event, the former Rift Valley Regional Commissioner stated that William Ruto will set an example as the first president in Kenya’s history to be voted out after serving a single term.

He dismissed the narrative that it is difficult to unseat an incumbent head of state. He argued that even the Constitution of Kenya envisions a leader serving for five years before seeking re-election, adding that Ruto would be the one to set that precedent.
“Ruto atakuwa mfano kwamba inawezekana kumuondoa rais ambaye yuko kwa kiti,” Natembeya said.
According to Natembeya, no head of state in Kenya’s history has served only one term, and he claimed that Ruto, whom he accused of failing the nation, would be the one to break that trend and pave the way for future leaders.
