Juja MP Koimburi hints at joining DP Ruto’s UDA

By , January 20, 2022

Juja Member of Parliament George Koimburi has hinted at joining the United Democratic Alliance (UDA).

In a poster on voter sensitization shared on his official Facebook account on Wednesday, January 19, Koimburi technically made it clear that he was moving to Deputy President William Ruto’s UDA. The poster in which his picture was pinned had UDA’s colours, logo and the party’s name.

If the poster is something to trust, then the politician has moved to UDA barely a year after he was voted to Parliament through People’s Empowerment Party (PEP).

He was voted to parliament in May 2021 during a by-election following the death of former MP Francis Waititu alias Wakapee.

Koimburi is said to have jumped his political ship after learning that one of his major opponents for the PEP party ticket in the August election is Moses Kuria’s younger brother, Aloise Kinyanjui.

The entry of Kuria’s brother in the parliamentary race reportedly forced Koimburi to move to Jubilee party before finally hinting at joining UDA.
