I am no longer afraid of being associated with Raila – Sabina Chege claims

Muranga Woman Representative Sabina Chege now claims that she is no longer afraid of associating herself with ODM leader Raila Odinga.

The lawmaker claims that during past presidential contests, the ODM supremo was demonized in the Mt Kenya region, giving locals a bad picture of him.

“I am no longer afraid of being associated with Raila, he is a leader like any other. Initially, we were told that Raila isn’t human. We were all afraid of him but we have had access to him. He is polite, a very good family man and very considerate. It is good to give him a chance,” she said.

Sabina Chege’s statement comes in the backdrop of similar sentiments by Nyandarua governor Francis Kimemia and Jubilee Vice-Chairman David Murathe.

The two vocal leaders stated that the electorate in the vast Mt Kenya region has for a long time been served with a negative image of the presidential hopeful.

The duo vowed to traverse the region in a bid to sanitize Raila’s tainted image and to drum up support for his recently launched presidential bid.
