How to track Ol Kalou by-election results online
As vote counting got underway across Ol Kalou Constituency following the close of polling at 5:00 pm on Thursday, July 16, 2026, the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has provided Kenyans with a straightforward way to follow the results of the parliamentary by-election in real time.
The commission outlined a transparent results management process that begins at the 144 polling stations and flows through to the constituency tallying centre at Ol Kalou Secondary Hall.
In a statement released on Thursday and reinforced by an official X post from @IEBCKenya, the IEBC said results would be available through its official online portal once they are transmitted electronically.

How to check the results
To follow the official results, voters can visit the IEBC results portal and select the relevant constituency.
The process is as follows:
Visit the official portal at https://forms.iebc.or.ke.
Select Nyandarua County from the list of counties, then choose Ol Kalou Constituency.
View results from all polling stations or drill down to County Assembly Ward results. Ol Kalou Constituency comprises Karau, Kanjuiri Range, Mirangine, Kiambaga and Rurii wards.
Refresh the page periodically as Presiding Officers transmit results from each of the 144 polling stations.

How the tallying process works
At every polling station, the Presiding Officer counts ballots in the presence of party agents, observers and the media. Agents are allowed to photograph the official Form 35A, while a copy is displayed publicly at the polling station to enhance transparency before electronic transmission.
The forms are then transmitted to the constituency tallying centre, where the Returning Officer verifies, collates and announces the constituency results before declaring the winner in the presence of party agents and accredited stakeholders.
IEBC urges reliance on official updates
The IEBC has emphasised that the tallying process is designed to ensure transparency and accountability. Only accredited persons with valid identification and official badges are allowed access to the tallying centre.
The commission has also cautioned political leaders, candidates and supporters against actions that could disrupt or delay the tallying process, urging the public to rely only on official updates released through its communication channels.
The Ol Kalou parliamentary by-election has attracted national attention, with vote counting commencing immediately after polling stations closed. Any election disputes arising from the exercise will be handled through the courts in accordance with the law.
By following the IEBC results portal, Kenyans can monitor official polling station results as they are uploaded and verified, providing a reliable way to track the outcome of the by-election in real time.
