Ministry of Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale has fired at the Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua over a series of allegations daring the DCP party leader to submit himself to facts, transparency and accountability.

In a statement on his official X account on Monday, March 30, 2026, Duale called out Rigathi Gachagua for alleging that faith-based organisations running medical facilities are owed Ksh90 billion.

“The former impeached Deputy President must move beyond reckless allegations and submit himself to facts, transparency and accountability. First, you loudly claimed to hold a dossier alleging that faith-based organisations running medical facilities are owed KSh 90 billion,” Duale said.

According to the CS, Gachagua’s remarks on the collection of the documents remain unseen after his past remarks.

On the other hand, Duale dared the former Deputy President to produce evidence that Duale holds upto 17% stake in the Convergence Network Limited, further challenging him to produce the CR12 from the Business Registration Service.

“To date, that dossier remains unseen. Second, you have alleged that I hold a 17% stake in Convergence Network Limited. I challenge you, once again, to produce the CR12 from the Business Registration Service,” he explained.

Duale, while distancing himself from Gachagua’s allegations, Duale stated that he has no ownership of the Convergence Network Limited.

At the same time, Duale called out Gachagua over remarks that the Government contracted a consortium to operate the Social Health Authority for Ksh104 billion.

“This official document clearly lists a company’s shareholders and directors. It will confirm, without ambiguity, that I have no ownership, direct or indirect. Third, you claim that the Government contracted a consortium to operate the Social Health Authority at a cost of KSh 104 billion,” Duale noted.

According to the Health CS, the remarks by Gachagua are alarming, daring him to table a contract that proves the figures he had previously listed.

“This is a serious assertion. Table the contract, provide the figures and let the public interrogate the facts. Finally, your recent conduct raises disturbing questions. Why this sustained campaign of intimidation and falsehoods? Why the apparent fixation with Convergence Network Limited?,” he explained.

“Kenyans are right to ask whether this is yet another attempt at extortion, similar to past incidents that have since come to light. I will not be distracted. My focus remains on strengthening healthcare delivery and ensuring that the people of Kenya receive dignified, affordable services under a transparent and accountable system,” Duale added.
